Some corrugated plastic signs planted along the streets lead passers-by to a brand new dance studio in the quiet town of Yorba Linda.
Gina Simms is the owner of the DanceStar studio at 18333 Lemon Drive, formerly a YMCA center. The parking lot of this commercial corner has recently been raised with lighter tone.
A giant banner at the front shows the studio has classes for various dancing styles for all ages and levels.
Gina Simms has moved north from San Diego where she recently transferred the ownership of her All-Star dance studio. For that, she has to name her new studio in Yorba Linda as DanceStar. Therefore, her new studio's website is DanceStarAPA.com. http://www.DanceStarAPA.com
One colorful sheet on the glass window lists out some classes the studio offers, such as: Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Gymnastics, Hip Hop, Acting for Films & TV, On Camera Commercial, Voice Over and Modeling, and Pageant Training.
A schedule organizes classes throughout seven days a week, from 9 a.m. to as late as 9 p.m. Saturday has the most activities. And Sunday, the most beautiful day of the week, has Pageant Training all afternoon.
The studio is officially open since yesterday, or Friday, February 1, 2013.
The studio floor is ready for the first classes on coming Monday.
One couple in a white truck stopped by to get information how to enroll their little daughter to a dancing class. The family is living not far away from the studio, maybe a walking distance. The mom (in this photo with Gina) opened the truck's door and talked to her recently awaken daughter, "Hello, sweetie. This is Miss Gina, your dance instructor."
One of the instructors at the Dance Star is Miss Anaheim.
